AMR was founded in 2005 by Benji Bendrix who saw first hand the frustrations of young musicians working hard but getting nowhere in the rat race for fame and fortune in Los Angeles. For 9 years as a bassist for power funk rock band P.F.O.they did the daily Hollywood grind playing club after club and making demos for submissions to Record Labels with no luck in sight. In their 7th year a signing deal fell through in the 9th hour and the drummer got cold feet and left. After that it was a game of chess with drummer after drummer. Eventually the band got disheartened and disbanded. Benji decided to start his own label to help young Artistes not go through what he experienced with his band.
